What Data We Collect
Analytics data — Via Google Tag Manager (GTM), we collect anonymized usage data such as pages visited, feature usage, and general device/browser information. This data is collected only if you accept analytics cookies.
Local storage — All tools store your inputs in your browser's local storage so your data persists between visits. This includes your health profile, food logs, drink logs, sleep logs, saved food library, and retirement planning data. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers.
AI processing data — When you use AI features (voice intake, food photo analysis, or the planning assistant), the relevant input (voice/text, image, or planning context) is sent to Anthropic for processing. This data is not stored by us after the session ends.
How We Use Your Data
Analytics — To understand which tools are used most, identify issues, and improve the experience. We do not track individual users.
App functionality — Local storage data powers the tools themselves. This data never leaves your browser.
AI features — Input data sent to Anthropic is used solely to generate your response in real time. It is not stored or used for training.
Third-Party Services
Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics — Provides anonymized analytics. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Only loads if you accept analytics cookies.
Anthropic Claude — Powers AI features including the retirement planning assistant, voice intake, and food photo analysis (meal scanning and nutrition label OCR). When you use these features, relevant data is transmitted to Anthropic for processing: chat and voice sessions include your planning inputs (names, ages, expenses, savings); photo analysis includes the image you upload. Anthropic does not store your data after processing. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
ElevenLabs — Provides AI voice synthesis for the voice planning assistant. The assistant's spoken responses are sent to ElevenLabs to generate audio. No user personal data is included in these requests. Subject to ElevenLabs' Privacy Policy.
USDA FoodData Central — Provides the nutrition database for the food search feature. Search queries (food names) are sent to the USDA API to retrieve nutrition data. Subject to USDA's Privacy Policy.
Google Fonts — Fonts are loaded from Google's servers on all pages. Google may log your IP address and browser information as part of this request. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Your Rights
Access — All your data is stored in your browser's local storage and is visible to you directly in the tools at all times.
Deletion — You can clear all your health data from the Profile panel in Reckon Health using the "Clear all my data" option. For the wealth planner, you can clear your browser's local storage directly. No data is stored on our servers, so there is nothing to request deletion of from us.
Opt-out of analytics — Decline cookies via the consent banner, or clear your rl-cookie-consent localStorage entry to see the banner again.
Data Retention
Local storage — Data stored in your browser persists until you clear it or use the in-app deletion option. We have no control over local storage data once it is on your device.
Analytics — Google Analytics data is retained for 26 months per Google's default policy.
AI processing — Conversations and images sent to Anthropic are processed in real time and are not retained by us after the session ends. Anthropic's own data retention policies apply to their API usage.
Do Not Sell My Personal Information (CCPA)
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties. We have never sold personal information and have no plans to do so.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale. Since we do not sell data, there is nothing to opt out of — but you may still exercise your other rights by contacting us.
Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Consent — Analytics cookies are only loaded after you explicitly accept them via the cookie consent banner.
Legitimate interest — Core app functionality (local storage for tool inputs and preferences) is processed under legitimate interest to provide the service you requested.
You may withdraw consent for analytics at any time by clearing your cookie preferences.
Cookies
Essential — Local storage entries for app functionality (planner data, health data, preferences). These are not cookies but function similarly. Always active.
Analytics — Google Analytics cookies set via GTM. Only active if you accept via the consent banner. Used to understand aggregate usage patterns.
